Thank you Arnd for validating that I am not doing something weird. Opening a ticket with SAP is probably not going to get it fixed. Might need to wait until Appeon takes it over.
Chris - I too have a window controller for the application but this tracing window needed to be separate from all the others because you can 'reload' the application without it closing all the windows down. What I didn't expect was when the real close happened I would not be notified!
I ended up setting a flag in the application so when the close happened and this was still active I will run the cleanup. Thanks again for all the input guys!
